In the early hours of january 9th, a street lamp shop in shuikou town, xingning city, guangdong province caught fire. The cause of the fire, in which three adults escaped successfully and two children died of harmful substances from inhaling too much smoke, is being investigated.
Video from the scene showed that after the lamp shop caught fire, a red rolling door inside, a fire truck arrived at the scene to carry out rescue. Some people also participated in the fire fighting to help firefighters pick up rolling doors and lay fire hoses. In another video, the lamp shop after the fire was a mess, the building above the store was also affected, windows and anti-theft windows were significantly damaged.
Today, the head of the Xingning City Fire Squad told the Beijing News that at 1.05am on January 9, the team received police information and found that the fire point was mainly related to the first floor of the lamp shop and the associated attic. Two of the children were trapped in the inside of the house and died of harmful substances in the smoke. The nearby shops were less affected by the fire and did not cause any other casualties.
